Talking to a dealer who has a used 7100 HST 4 wheel drive with 450 hours, 60 inch mid mount mower and a Kubota front end loader. Asking $9,000.00, tractor is well kept, no leaks, everything works and sounds good. Is this a fair price? Serial number is 76778, I think that puts it around 1983 but not sure, can anyone give me the age?

He's asking MUCH too much. You can get a brand new B-7500 which is a much better tractor for $13,000, why pay $9,000 for one that's 20 years old? He should be asking 5 or 6 thou. ....

That price actually seems to be in line with what good clean used 7100hst's are going for around here at dealers. I looked at one that had 360 hours and a 60 inch belly mower and was priced at $5500. Add in $3000 for a loader and....
I ended up buying one from a private seller. It is a non-hst, but had a 60 inch finish mower on the 3 point hitch and a front end loader, 227 hours on a rebuilt engine and transmission for $4500.

Why would you add in $3000 for a loader? Loaders of this size (1/4 yard or so) go for $2200 NEW and this loader is 20 years old. I think a loader like this adds $500 to a 20 year old rig. This thing isn't worth a nickel over 6000. ....
