2006 basket case build.
Compression to spec
Fuel pump to spec
Governor to spec, slow idle smooth
Spark to spec
Vacuum to spec
Fresh rebuild on carb with new jets, solenoid, and heater

Fast idle only up to 2900 rpm, book says 3400. Went to look at coils and saw only one pulser coil on right mount. From what i gather, this setup only uses one, but want to make sure.
Very soft occasional backfire at slow idle. Wondering where to go next that would cause loss of 500 rpm. Thank you,

No. The rear cylinder is 155psi, 170 is spec. But it’s runs a bit rough at full throttle, Moreno than I would think and doesn’t get to spec rpm. I think it might need rings in tha cylinder. I did squirt oil in plush hole and got increase in compression. I can’t get to a rebuild until summer. I have carb jet drill bits and am tempted to increase the fuel a bit. Any thoughts? ....
