I have a 2002 JD Gator 4x2. The gas gauge is starting to act erratic. Today it showed 3/4 full and I ran out of gas. Question: How do I replace it? It seems to me that it would be only one piece (gauge and sensor, perhaps float) as opposed to multiple components such as a car. Also, where is the best place to get a replacement part. JD is usually pretty high on their parts.

That's great news Gatordone. I have another question if you perhaps know the answer. The rubber boots on my two front (axles ?) have deteriorated and need replacing. Is this the kind of thing I can do myself? I can't imagine it being very difficult but would like to hear from somebody who has actually done it. Thanks again for your response. ....
