My Gator 4X2 (single cyl. Kawasaki-don't know size-engine #FE290D604932)has run poorly all its life. Very few hours on it. It's hard to start, but when it does after cranking a bunch, I have let it warm up 10 minutes or so before it will even move without dying. If I depress the petal fast, it will die 100% of the time. And, once I can coax it up to speed, there always a hesitation when the petal is depressed. Should I start with rebuilding the carb? Any suggestions greatly appreciated..we're rellay frustrated it has not run well since new.

Fw; Raider is right some had a problem. We had every series except the ticycle and the electric Gators. The XUV we had had your symptoms, hard to start and keep running till it was fully warmed up. Our XUV with fuel injection is just like your car, no choke, no sputter, purrs like a kitten from the gitgo.
I'm sure Deere is working on an improved model of the XUV, but I'd be hard pressed to think of anything to make them much better. ....
