I have a xuv 620i 4x4 JD gator. It just recently started making a squealing noise, really annoying, the entire time the engine is on. I brought it down to the JD dealership to see what was going on and they told me it was the fuel pump and this is what they sound like when they get older. My gator only has 172 miles on it!!! Does anyone else have a gator that does this. Can it be fixed?
Thanks.

I'm thinking your problem is the bearing that is mounted on the inside of the frame rail that supports the drive shaft that goes to the front differential. It is right under the fuel pump that squeels when it gets old. Ha Ha Ha Give it a nice dose of WD40, it is a shielded bearing that is exposed ( should be a sealed bearing, I guess they are too expensive for Deere to put on ) I'm thinking that if that's the general area of the squeel it is more likely to be the bearing. Good luck...... ....

I thought I sent an email, but I don't think it went thru. You need to spray all the flat surfaces of the bearing front and back. There is a shield over the balls but the WD40 will seep in past it, you have to soak it real good. I think with everything in neutral and the emergency brake off you should be able to turn the shaft by hand and work the WD40 into the bearing. ....
