Is there a website that someone can download information from factory service/repair manuals for a JD850? What are other sources for reference or repair manuals other than I&T shop manuals. I already have an I & T manual but it does not show much detail in some areas. Does anyone publish any good aftermarket repair manuals for compact tractors like Clymer or Chilton does for cars and trucks?

You can order actual JD service manuals by calling 1-800-522-7448. I have a JD 950. I ordered the service manual, parts manual, and operators manual. Not cheap, but very good. I can't imagine working on most things without these manuals.
The operators manual ($18) gives info on basic operation and routine maintenance. The service manual ($76) gives repair informaion and also has complete electrical schematics. The parts manual ($38) is great because it shows exploded views of everything on the tractor.
Sometimes you can find manuals on ebay, but it seems most of the time those are IT. ....
