I have a Cub Cadet 7260 compact tractor that I am trying to install a aftermarket engine block heater what is the proper way to remove the soft plug so I can install my aftermarket heater

Caution you must be sure you have the right location and have a matching sensor and have drained the coolant, the most common way is to use a punch and pry it out. Use a hammer and a blunt punch or large screwdriver. then use a plier to pull it out. Be sure to have abox of kleenex near by in case the sensor does not match, you will be very very sad in that case :-)

Thank you for the response I'm almost 100% sure I have the right location as in the parts catalog it shows this location behind the alternator and above the injection on the left side of the engine I'm not installing the factory block heater however my question is if I have the right thread hit since it's a Mitsubishi engine I don't know if the thread pitch is metric or npt ....
