I have about one acre of land I want to plant in a green manure crop and till under to build up the soil. I want to plant buckwheat and winter rye at appropriate times. The usual 3 point mount spreaders are really over kill for my needs. I have looked at the Agri Fab spreaders that tow and handle 100-175 pounds of matterial. These look OK but I would be interested in any comments on them or a substitute brand. Thanks.David

I also have a little over one acre that I often fertilize, weed control, and spread insect control on. I purchased a 30 lb. broadcast pull behind spreader at the local discount store (Meijer) for $20. It works great but it looks a little silly being pulled behind a JD 4100. I have also used it to put commercial fertilizer on the gardens and plant grain rye for a cover crop with great results. The agrifab units were a bit too pricey for what I needed to do. ....
