I have 37 acres, all wooded except for about 2.5 of lawn, 1.5 of blueberry field. I have a stream that goes through the property and it needs some care, ie, reparing eroded banks, tree blowdowns etc. I will be yarding firewood, digging a gravel pit to make a road approx. 700' long and any other tasks that come along. Any advise on what machine I should get. I want a new machine, its going to last me the rest of my life so its got to be of high quality.

Thanks in advance for any adviseDavid

It has been stated previously but is worth repeating. Two of the first things to consider would be: What tractor dealers are nearby - you will need service and parts eventually. Pay a visit to each - is there one you would prefer doing business with? That aside you can then begin deciding on type, size, options etc...There are several people on the board from time to time who are more knowledgeable than I in this department so I will defer that advise to them.

Hope this helps
