I have a new TC29. The hydraulic fluid is low. Can I purchase a good high quality hydraulic fluid from Farm and Fleet, TSC, etc or do I have to buy the New Holland Brand to top it off? It's much more convenient to go to TSC if I can.I can't see how NH's brand is any better than that used by Deere, IH, etc.Any ideas?Larry

Larry,As long as it is the same type and viscosity oil, should not be a problem. NH doesn't sell synthetic, and that is the only way for the oil to be any better. But if this is "new", what is behind the reason that it is low? Was it delivered that way? Then the dealer didn't do his job. Let him know that. Is it leaking, or did you add something to the system?Oil from any name brand, especially from a tractor company, should be the same. They all say that theirs is the best, large ego I guess. ....

It was just slightly low on the dip stick. I think it was caused by my hooking the hydraulic system to an implement that had been sitting around for a long time and it needed fluid which it took from the tractor. Thanks for your comment. ....
