I just had the altenator on my 33D fixed to lower its output to solve the overchargeingcorrosion problem. A different regulator was put in. This was all done under warranty. I will let eveyone know if it works.

Do you know if this is related to a specific group (year and model) of tractors or is it a general problem? ....

I am not sure I believe it is the mid size boomers only but, there are previous threads that deal with this problem. Other causes for the corrosion where mentioned ie. battery location, battery type but according to my dealer it was an overcharging issue that was fixed by changing regulators. ....

The dealer checked the voltage, I don't know what it was they just said it was high. Time will tell if the problem is fixed. ....
