I have a New Holland Boomer 25 which has developed a fault. When driving it suddenly stops every so often - not a regular fault. I can immediately restart it and it is okay. I have tested the fuel shutoff solenoid which functions okay and have found the safety controller which is a sealed unit under the dash and have no idea how to test that. Any thoughts as I am running out of ideas ? Thanks all

Wondering if it happens when you hit bumps/vibration? Might be a safety switch. Does the motor shutdown sound like it does when you turn off the ignition? Or is it sputtering to a stall? ....

After much discussion I fixed the fault - the cheap plastic switch under the seat was the problem. When I connected the old switch to my multi meter and jiggled the plunger on the switch I got an inconsistent continuity reading. It's been running now for several weeks. Just another comment when I priced the fuel shutoff solenoid as a New Holland part it cost Au$1130 but none available but as it's a Mitsubishi diesel I found the exact same part under Mitsubishi parts listing for Au$61 with Amazon so I bought it for a spare - just in case. The local New Holland dealer confirmed it has the same specs. but couldn't explain the price difference. ....
