Surprised to see that this brand of sub compact is not discussed more. Have a 1250 FEL and the bottom line...it stacks up as good as any blue, green or orange model out there. Would like to see some more discussion around this steller tractor.

I also have a 1250. I am really happy with mine. I have friends with just about every brand and I wouldn't trade mine for any of them. I have put just over 1000 hr on it. ....

Bought mine used, 96 with 421Hrs FEL $12K. Machine and FEL are in great shape. Don't think I overpaid. Machine operates fantastic. I have several orange, green and blue dealers in the area, and two MF dealers. Have not had any issues with the machine. Have a 16spd shuttle trans, weighted rear tires. She is a working machine! ....

I have a 1997 MF 1250 with a 4-in-1 on the front and Woods backhoe on the rear. It didn't come with a 3pt hitch...any idea where I can get one for less than $500. Local dealer want nearly $1000. This tractor has been worth every penny so far. ....

I have a vague recollection of hearing about what I'd call generic 3ph's that mount on things that ordinarily don't have hitches--ATV's and skid-steers possible. Something like that might be a possibility, $1000 seems like a pretty good price if the tractor needs a complete new 3ph--lift-cover, control valve, arms linkage etc.

I'd expect that less than $1000 means finding a used one, and most salvage yards don't have a lot of compact tractors. I think tractor salvage yards have a parts locator network, similar to auto yards, and a hitch might be located. Slim chance I'd guess, but who knows?

Another guess is that a 3ph may not be compatible with the backhoe, which I'd assume is a sub-frame mount. ....

Have you tried to locate the original owner. The tractor did come with all of the parts. I'm sure that they were removed when the backhoe was installed. I could do quite a bit of research for $1000.
If that fails, see if you can get the parts as a kit from MF whole goods. ....
