Good morning. I am a new-bee here!! I have a 1240 with a 1270 loader. I think it is a 1993. I bought it around 20 years ago and it still purrs like a kitten. But like any kitten, it matures and shows lifes challenges. It is a little narrow and feels tipsy at times but for my needs it is perfect and shows not signs of quitting. I plan on using it until I no long exist and letting my heirs figure out what to do with it.
I was cleaning the battery terminals with the front grill down. I raised the loader and crushed the grill. I will try to get the bends out but I believe it is beyond repair. Is there a graveyard for old Masseys that may have this part. Or is their a remanufacturer of parts for these old relics? I have not been able to locate this item doing searches. I would really like to get her looking good again as she has been very good to me over the years.
