Looking at L245, do not know positively the year (owner says '86), 4x4 with loader and power steering. Motor sounds good, runs and drives good, loader does what it should, and priced at $6500 in Texas. Seems like a fair price, but then Kubota dealer said it was only worth about $5,000. Is dealer just trying to sell me new tractor?

Could be both! That tractor depending on hours and condition would set the price. I think that the 6500 is a full price for a unit that would be a 9-10 on a rating of 10 on condition compared to the best a used could be. ....
