What is the secret to successful touch up painting on a Kubota body panel. I like keeping the tractor looking good, but have not been able to get the touch up paint right. I bought a can of Kubota orange from my dealer, but it doesn't look right on a body panel. It is OK on the FEL arms, but I tried a little spot on the body panel, and it just didn't look right. Any secrets out there that would help? Thanks

Allot of times the paint isn't a perfect match, particularly if the tractor has slightly faded from sunlight. The loader has a rougher surface that hides the slight mismatch. There is never a perfect touch-up unless you paint the entire section. Doing the best you can is about it! ....

Don't forget the old orange versus the new orange. Sometime in the 90s Kubota changed the formula.
My old orange has faded so much since 1989 that there is
no way to match, unless I buffed and waxed the old paint.
It IS a tractor, so I am not gonna do that..... ....

Nope, the tractor is only 5 months old, and is kept covered in the barn. Not much chance of UV fading covered in a barn in Michigan in the winter. I am aware of the new versus old Kubota orange, made sure I got the new orange for this tractor. I was hoping there was some trick that I didn't know. Thanks for your help. ....

Realistically, masking off and painting the entire affected panel is probably easier than trying to "patch paint" a small section. It will look much better even if the paint is a near perfect match. Just spend a little time with surface prep and masking. ....
