if you do not like the position of the soy stick you could always make a new one to better fit you. All you have to do is go to your hardware store and buy a piece of round stock the same diameter as yo stick cut and bend it to make it fit your preference the cut threads on both ends to match your current stick with a tap and die set. i have made quite a few moddified joy sticks for customers at work.
Any way just a sugjestion, but remember the longer you make the stick the longer the throw will be.
