Fred:Thanks for the response. I was hoping that H might be faster. I'll need3600 rpm to run the alternator I am looking at using. I hope it won't be to hard to set up a 3 to 1 speed up with v-belts and pullies. Once again,Thank YouBill ....

Bill, I'm just starting to resarch tractors. There is a Kabota B6000 in the newspaper for about $4k. Im wondering if this wouldn't be better than a garden tractor in the long run. I have 10 acres andwill be mostly mowing, moving a little dirt around. Are kabota's goodtractors? would you buy another one. Any specifics I should know aboutthe B6000. Things to look for or lookout for? thanks ....

MIKE,I HAVE A B6000 IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH A FRONT HYDRO. PLOW, AG TIRES.I AM LOOKING TO SELL FOR $3400.00.THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW.THE PTO RUNS CCW. TO USE A MOWER YOU NEED A REVERSING GEARBOX. ABOUT$300.I USE MINE TO PLOW A 750' GRAVEL DRIVEWAY IN CT. I HAVE 5 ACRES OF TREES, AND I USE THE TRACTOR TO PULL OUT LOGS, PULL FIREWOOD, PLOW DIRT ECT. THE TRACTOR IS GRAR DRIVEN AND IS 12.5 HP. 2CYL DIESEL.IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING OF A GARDEN TRACTOR SIZE IN 4WD THIS IS A GOOD TRACTOR. IF YOUR LOOKING TO PUT A LOADER ON IN THE FUTURE, LOOK FOR A LARGER TRACTOR.DONT EXPECT TO DO "EARTH MOVING" IT IS A GREAT TRACTOR FOR ITS SIZE.LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE MORE ?.FRED ....

If you still need info on B6000 I have had one since last winter. Mine has a frontend loader and 5' woods finish mower made for counter rotation. Tractor will do much more work than it should! Used it to dig up a concrete patio complete with rebar and mesh around an inground swimming pool as well as to fill in the pool and do all the grading. Mower will mow up to about 8 inch grass and weeds fairly well--as well as a B1750 hydro. Turf tires can be installed if you buy new wheel for a B6100 and mount the correct size tires. Tractor is much heavier duty than the new BX series but has barely enough power. Has yet to not finish a job I started with it!
Email if you need any specific answers.
