Hi

We have a guy up in northern Michigan that keeps our driveway cleared out in the winter. He has a L3710, 5ft 2 stage snow thrower, all glass heated cab, I think he might have a loader also, the tractor looks as new condition and has 400 hours on it. He has over 100 accounts and wants to upgrade to a larger setup. He was offered $18,000.00 at the dealer and said no go on that deal, told me he like to see $24,000.00. He told me he had $30,000.00 into it, is he out in left field...??? Thanks in advance..

Does the tractor have a loader, that's worth 2500 any day! Is the blower front mount or three point hitch? ....

Yes I'm sure he said he also had a loader, and the blower is a front mount.

There has to be more for thirty thousand to have been tied up unless he's working on a sales tax number with the total! Price a new one. ....

Thanks Art, I'll do that. I just wondered what average depreciation of these things are, with aprox. 400 hours tractor looks like new.

The L-3710 did offer a factory cab as an option. Just the tractor alone had a retail of 26000 so it is possible if it had the factory cab to actually have had a retail price for the package of being in excess of the 30,000. If it does have the factory cab it probably does have the defroster package and some added lites because of his work. In another post here JD deducts about 20 to 30 dollars per hour for a trade on there equipment which is a little high at the 30 dollar range but they know what they are worth but at 24000 it might not be to bad of a deal but if the tractor is not the right one for you it might be better to use the financing programs to reduce the payments on a new vs the used. ....
