I need info to setup hydraulics to the rear of kubota B2800, for a small backhoe. I checked at the dealer, and they said it would cost around $1000. He also said if I used the tractors hydraulics the backhoe would run to slow. He also said it would be best to use a pto pump off the back pto shaft.

The dealer recommendation is no doubt a quality recommendation. It also seems pretty pricey. I imagine that less expensive after-market solutions are available.
Some of what works well, of course, depends on the intended usage. I have occasional modest back-hoe projects and I'm seldom in much of a hurry. I run my 6'/2.5" cylinder hoe just fine from tractor hydraulics of around 6.5 gpm. The boom lift speed could be a little faster but generally I'm happy enough with the speed and I seldom even run the engine at pto rpm. I'd probably want a different setup if I used the hoe more extensively but I probably wouldn't have a hoe at all if I paid dealer kit prices for no more use I make of my hoe.
I've described that I run the hoe from a rear valve controlled outlet that I tie open in other threads. It is a quick and cheap solution but not ideal (also as noted recently). Such hookups probably should only be done with valve assemblies that have power-beyond capability. However, the set up has worked without difficulties for almost 5-years now. An even quicker and cheaper solution might be to put extra long hoses on the hoe and run it from the loader bucket valve (for safety reasons hoe equipped tractors are supposed to have loaders). Common practice is to dig in the bucket before raising the hoe stabilizers. Once the bucket is angled down, there's no further need for the bucket circuit, which does free up the valve for other uses.

I do have a front loader, and I guess the best thing to do is just buy the pto pump from northern tool. I would still have to get a hydraulic tank also. I was just hoping I might get off cheeper.

Jeff: I think most people get along OK with the Northern Tool rig. There are also higher-end units on the market that might be considered if the use is more than occasional.
Long hoses from the loader bucket valve probably would work (some cautions were already noted). It would be about the cheapest approach going but it would be something of a pain. I have to use that technique when I use my 3ph forklift. It takes one rear valve controlled outlet for the lift cylinder and another for the carriage tilt, and I only have one rear outlet. I need to use the loader enough when the forks are mounted that swapping hoses is enough pain to have me thinking about a new 4-section valve for my loader.
One thing about pto pumps: I think the rule of thumb is a reservoir twice the size of the pump's delivery rating (but the rule might be 2 1/2 times). Too small a reservoir causes hot oil. Awhile back somebody on another board had hoses getting so that that they couldn't be held. I think that a larger reservoir and less aggressive hoe use was the solution.
