I have a chance to purchase a Kubota M4050. I do not know anything about this model. Can anyone help me out here? Does this model have known problems? The tractor has a bush Hog 2400 QT loader on it and the guy is asking $6500 for it. The tractor has 3300 hours on it and it is a little rough(paint faded and front grill busted) but seems mechanically sound. Also if I buy this tractor where is the best place to find manuals?

These tractors were built in the mid-80's and had 45PTO horsepower or just over 50 engine. Engine is a 6cylinder with 158 cubic inch displacement. 8 forward speeds and 2 reverse. Is it a DT or a 2 wheel drive? ....

The manuals are available thru your local dealer or we could help with them. For a two wheel drive I would hope the machanicals are in proper shape. The price seems to not be to far out but you might offer him less. For the northeast prices for a 82 are 5730. retail and for a 88 7842. That is less the loader. ....
