A (') in the subject line prevents me responding directly. My NH dealer is two hours away and also is the closest NH dealer. Phone support is pretty good, and parts are sent by courier. However, the courier service is a little less agreeable since NH Canada implemented a policy to not ship warehouse parts directly to owners. If I need a warehouse part, I now have to pay shipping to the dealer and then from the dealer to here--seems sort of mean spirited. However, working with a dealer that far is OK although there are problems. Transportation costs are high if the tractor has to be trucked to the dealer. In addition, couriers can’t ship things like oils and batteries. There is an AGCO dealer about an hour away that I use for many things. The AGCO dealer can get NH parts and is willing to do repairs. The AGCO dealer doesn't have a problem, and I wouldn't expect another NH dealer to have a problem servicing a tractor sold by another dealer. After all it is a dealer's business to compete in both the sales and service parts of the business. From a business point of view, you set your prices and you aren’t going to win them all. However, you don't blame potential customers for taking a better deal then you are offering. If you get their service business, you might get a chance to sell them a tractor sometime. Just my opinion, maybe some of the dealers here think about it differently.
