I priced anL2600w/loader today for $12,800. I reallywasn't in the market for a tractor this tall but the salesman made it sound like a good deal, with the 4 wheel dr. and all. I entend to use the tractor for gen. maintiance around the farm and fixing roads and such. I haven't noticed anyone saying anything about this tractor or the allied loader thats on it. Any help would be greatly apreciated, as to price, operator friendlyness,dependibility, etc.thanks ahead of time, J.T. (in Texas)

J.T., in my opinion (and I'm not much of an expert on prices), that's a fair deal; not a great one, but not bad. The L2600 (DT, I presume - you did say it's 4WD?) is a good, basic tractor if you want the manual transmission instead of the hydrostatic that most of us prefer. And while I'd much prefer having a Kubota front end loader on a Kubota (keep the brands and colors the same, both for personal preference and for resale value), I've never heard anything bad about an Allied loader. ....

Thanks , bird for the info. I just checked the figures on the 790w/loader and the 2600w/loader, and the 2600 is $1390 less than the 790.I'll be going to another dealer today and check on what he has to offer. Really would like to have a compact though, like a 2410 w/loader.I got so many numbers floating around in my head now i feel like a computer,lol.anyway, thanks for the input. "keep the shiney side up and the rubber side down" JT. ....
