I'm new to this board - just discovered it. It's a great board - lots of useful information.I have a 1993 (maybe 1992) Kubota L2950 with a LA450 loader. Had them since new in '93. Of all the posts, I've never seen this tractor mentioned. Does anyone else have one? It is 31.5 gross HP, 4wd, 8 speed gear transmission (4 each in two ranges) with a shuttle shift and ag tires. I use it for mowing, garden tilling, occasional brush hogging (5'-0" hog) and assorted light loader use. I think it is a great tractor and wonder why no one else has mentioned it.

Glenn, I'll just venture a guess as to why you haven't seen much, if any, mention of the L2950. Wasn't 1993 the last year that model was made? I suspect a lot of us didn't have access to the Internet back then, don't know how many L2950s were made and sold, but the people who bought them may still be using them, but not aware of discussion boards such as this. I doubt that it has anything to do with the quality of the tractor itself. ....

I just purchased an L295DT kubota.I was in the market for about 8 monthes and finaly settled on this unit. A year ago I built a house on five acres that has some pasture and alot of 1"-2" sapplings with brush. So far it has met or exceeded my performance expectations. This unit is 4wd and has a loader on it as well as the ROPS that the dealer installed for me.I also pull a 60" rotary cutter a scraper blade or a rake behind it. Today, at very low speed, I mowed down several 1.5"+ cottonwood sapling as well as tons of brush all under the mower at once! Kind of hard on the mower but that is what I bought it for. ....
