the spool that controls the curl/dump action of the bucket won't go down into the assambly so the bucket does not dump.
I can force the spool down (with a hammer) and then it works a little bit, but not as it should.
can I take the spool out somehow and see if there is something that needs fixing?
This happened once before and after I forced it down it worked well for a while, but there is obviously something wrong

Paul, the detent balls have more then likely fallen out of place and need to be reistalled at the least after being assulted with a hammer! They do have a kit for this and I hope you didn't break the housing itself. ....
