I thought my Kubota L 35 was bullet proof. Guess not. While digging out a stump today the pin broke where the cylinder for the dipper stick attaches. Pin broke in half yoke fell out upper frame area bent all to shit and the cylinder has a bow. Didn't lose any fluid. Pin had fresh grease, temp. was 65. I have removed many a stump with this machin. I bought it new in 1995. Wonder if the cylinder can be straighten? I noticed that the frame area at the break is only 1/4" Should have reinforcement at this area. Think I can get Kubota to warranty? Dam pin shot out like a cannon to the side. Broke my heart as I have been in many a battle with this machine. I am open for suggestions, advice etc. I thank god that the missle missed me.

Regards

Jack

I'd only recommend replacement of the ram and of coarse the pin. How many hours on your tractor? Are any of the other pins loose? ....

Hello Art:

My tractor has 1600 hours, backhoe probably has 5 or 6 hundred hours. All pins are tight. Do where I could get parts for this repair online? Thank You for your help

The parts would be available thru any Kubota dealer. I haven't seen that happen to a pin but it might have broke before and you just finished it off so to speak with your last job. You really can't straighten a ram perfectly so it would just wear out the inside of the cylinder or to make it egg shape with the first signs being leaks. ....
