Kioti LK3054 tractor is great. Butbolts from front U-shaped collar that holds the front wheel transmission in place fell out, wheels and axle slipped forward and I broke the drive shaft that propels front tranny. Got it put back together and it runs OK in 2-wheel drive. Since I don't really need the 4WD, is it OK to run this way if I don't engage the front transmission? Or am I asking for long-range trouble?

As long as dirt/debris can't get in the front housing or transmission housing with the shaft removed and oil can't get out you should be OK to use it.. ....
