I have been looking for a JD 4400 with HST trans, R4 tires, & remote hyrdaulics. I have been quoted prices from different dealers, but haven't seen many on their lots. I have an older tractor I'm still using, so I'm not in a rush to get one yesterday. I have found that buying things off-season(boats in Fall or Winter) will get me a much better price. Can I expect the same with this tractor & equiptment? Will prices vary with the season? Does anyone know if JD will offer any "buyer incentives" this winter thru spring? I really appreciate any info I can get, thanks.

Al, I'm sure the dealers have their slow times in the winter and are really to cut a better deal. But with the shortage and high-demand for the 4000 series w/hydros and such I really doubt that fantastic deal will come along in mid-winter. Just a guess though, and good luck shopping. I own Green but I feel todays tractors are getting so close in quality, power, user friendly that I would take a close look at all colors. ....

I bought a 4200 hydro last winter and still had to wait 30 days before delivery but, that's not all that bad considering the waits others have gone through when they ordered later in the year. I doubt you will see dealer incentives except on close-out models but you will probably get more personal attention from the dealer. ....
