Mower Deck Installation Problem - Deck Not Raising

I have a 4200HST w/60" Belly Mower. I took off the mower deck to use the FEL on rough terrain. I put the mower deck back on as the installation manual says and I'm having a problem. The mower deck only raises a few inches from where I have the cutting height set to 3". I know before I took the mower deck off it was raising a lot higher. Has anyone run into this problem? Any thoughts?

There was a recent discussion here--maybe about the same tractor and problem. I can't recall the conclusion. Dang! Have to go or I'd try to find it in the archives myself. ....
