I have a friend who is selling his JD755. It is a '98 (155 hrs) with frond end loader, 56" bellymower, and 5'bushog. It is in excellent shape and he is asking $7000. He is highly motivated to sell. He is in love with a bigger JD. :) Is this a good price? Also,I have a small farm(30 acres) with a one acre yard to mow, about ten acres to keep bushogged, and some light landscaping work to do. Some of the acreage is hilly. Do you think this tractor is a good fit for my needs? and how long can I plan on using this tractor?(this is my wife's question).

That is a STEAL at that price, even if it is not 4WD. And because of the loader I would suspect it probably is 4WD. But because of the price I would suspect not. The belly mower should be 60", not 56". The 5' bush hog might be a little big, which would require you to go slower. However you could obviously sell the bush hog if it's too big, and buy a 48" one. This tractor could last your lifetime if take care of. I just bought a 98 755 4WD with loader but no belly mower. Instead it came with a rear finish mower and a tiller. 600+ hours, minor wear and tear, I got a steal at $9500. Should have been $11,500 even without the attachments. Buy that tractor, like RIGHT NOW.
