All kinds of symptoms, they stop dead, run erratic, run wild, etc., what is it doing?
Is this a compact 4010 or a 1960's 4010 farm tractor? ....

Its the old farm tractor. I went to start it and it revs up.I cleaned some water out of the fuel element canisters and bled the fuel system but no change. You have to pull the fuel cut off to control it. ....

Only if you have experience in working with injection pumps you can remove it and take it to a diesel shop that rebuilds injection pumps, injectors, etc., they can put your pump on a test stand and evaluate the problem.
If you have no experience doing this it would be best to take the 4010 to the Deere dealership intact. ....
