Hey all, Nice to see such a great board that focuses on the compacts!! Anyway, I recently bought a 1981 JD model 750 and wanted your opinion on the price. It is a pretty standard model (no power steering) with 977 hours on it. It is your basic tractor with standard 3ph, 8sp tranny, and locking diff. The 3 cyl Yanmar diesel engine, sheetmetal, and tires look to be in good shape. The only thing wrong with it that I can tell is that the front headlights, lenses, and sockets and the left rear flasher need to be replaced. Oh yeah, the diesel fuel tank cap needs replacing (JD says $43!). It has a fuel gauage built into it, but the glass is broke which can let water in the diesel. A no-no!! The owner removed the ROPS at some point and GAVE IT AWAY!! Can you imagine?? I will have to get a replacement for it at about $275 from JD. Anyway, I got a 4foot disc harrow, and some weights for the front end with it. The final price was $4500. Does this sound average to you??Thanks!Keith
