I thought I ran across a post about "boosting" or increasing hydraulic pressure on an 855 (compact 4wd). I believe it had something to do with adjusting a valve. Thanks.

It's safe to do IF you put a gauge into one of the SCV couplers and set it to factory specs. They do tend to drift lower with age and use. The adjustment involves adding additional shims (available from JD) under the pressure release spring. If I remember right, it's accessed by rmoving the sheet metal panel right below the seat. ....
