grass out of the non discharge side

Just got a cub cadet 2130 after years of throwing money at a Craftsman every year for steering parts. The one thing I notice, that is a pain with this, is when mowing, a lot of grass comes out from under the non discharge side of the deck. Is this due to the high lift blades? It is also a mulching unit, though I have not used the plug, as my grass is usually to thick too mulch. Would a skirt of some kind installed along the bottom edge on this side of the deck help? Could the high lift blades be installed backwards/upside down. Like I said it, leaves a mess of clippings in a line, on this side. I usually mow everything to the middle, then pick up clippings with a lawn rake for less time involved on the mower.Thanks for any inpuits!Dale
