I loaned my 8N Ford and Woods mower to a non-profit organization just gettig started to mow some soccer fields. Someone slipped in the other night and stole the pto shaft, hyd pump, battery, governor, all of the caps, and the hyd. dipstick. This WAS a good, recently rebuilt tractor with sentimental value to me. Any ideas where I might find these parts at reasonable prices???

It is a sorry state when some scum bag does this to hawk them on e-bay.
You should be able to buy them back on e-bay. Lots of tractor yards with experienced parts.
I'd check with WWW "dot" Wengers "dot" com. You also have some very large yards out your way.
Good Luck ....

Many of the parts are even available aftermarket for these tractors. It does seem strange for people that are helping people to have these things happen but today things are strange. ....

I'd be concerned that they would come back and finish stealing the rest--someone has an appetite for more than just those parts. You might want to consider using a special, invisible ink/paint that glows under black light to secretly mark your parts. That way if they are stolen you can have the detective use a black light to prove they are your parts. A guy on e-bay was selling a kit really cheap. I guess they are used my many companies to identify anything from jewelry to electronics to keep people from returning things they never owned--that's what this e-bayer was doing to help other e-bayers from being taken. ....

You can try valu-bilt. They have lots of new parts for 8Ns and they also carry used parts. You can click on the used parts links and tell them what you are looking for. ....

Yes I agree with earth works. The value in that tractor for parts is the hood gas tank, side panels basically all the sheet metal. and grill which all come off real easy as you know. All those other parts come out to less than $250 compared to the hood being worth that and up to twice
that much alone. get it out of there. ....

I agree, check there first. When I bought a rebuild kit for my 9N it was actually less expensive through the New Holland dealer than the internet parts places. I didn't even have to order it, they had everything right on the shelf.
