It's time for the first oil change in my JD 4610. My question is should I use synthetic or petroleum oil? Since you are a JD dealer and if this was your tractor, what would you use?
Thanks
Billy

I would use a synthetic blend
In my own equipment at home. I use Sheaffer's brand 15w-40 supreme 7000. It exceeds Deere's specs.
Do not tell my boss! The Torque-gaurd sold at Deere Dealers is an excelent product.
In my own stuff, I use what I do, because I feel it is better. And I have the oil analysis records to prove it. What this means is, it is just not my freaking opinion. I have hard evidence to back this up. Years of it.
