 TC33D Throttle won't stay accelerated

Hi: My TC 33D's throttle won't stay in the accel mode when I have even the slightest load on it. Is there some kind of adjustment to keep it in the position that I put it in? Thanks!

Are you saying the revs decrease under load (which sounds normal) or that the hand control throttles back on its own?

It is common for the friction pivot for the throttle gets loose with time. You have to take the cowl off that is where your key switch is. Use a 13mm socket and remove the two bolts that hold the RH cowl to the LH cowl. Then remove the two bolts from the engine compartment on the front of the cowl. Wiggle the cowl out and tighten the throttle pivot bolt some.

It throttles back by itself.

So, did you get a chance to repair your tractor yet? Just wondering how it went.

Does the cowel come all the way off or do I just pull it back some? I can see where the throttle cable is going in the rubber bushing, but where & how do I tighten it?

Tighten the pivot bolt for the throttle control arm. You will see it has nylon washers at the pivot to aid in the friction.

I know I sound like a dumbass, but I take pictures for a living and I'm not super mechanical (obviously) Smile Anyway, am I looking for the cable end closest to the carb and NOT the throttle lever?
