 Hydraulics

My Mitsubishi Beaver III model 373D diesel tractor with a 1220 front loader lost hydraulics while I was pushing snow with the front loader. Where can I go to get this fixed? My dealer went out of business several years ago.I don't have a manual for the front loader so I cannot figure out what broke. The hoses appear to be ok but something must have come off in the snow to cause all the fluid to come out. I can send pictures if it would help figure out what is wrong.

Decide whether to repair in the field or get it to your shop or garage. If the latter, either have it towed, or add fluid and hope the leak is gradual.

Then, as they'd do at the dealership, start it and look for the leak. Might have to rev up and load it. If the leak is not obvious, thoroughly protect yourself from a hidden invisible high-pressure spray that can seriously injure. Here are the tricks.

Newspaper underneath to show drips. Paper towels along the hoses to show pinhole leaks. In the dark, a flashlight to show a fine spray.

Sometimes the leak (usually in a chafed hose) occurs only when an implement is moved in a certain way, so you operate thoughout the range of movements while a helper watches.

I will try that. Since I saw a trail of hydraulic fluid in the snow I suspect more than a minor leak. I do see some cracks in one other hose but no fluid around it. Wish I knew a shop that would work on this model.

Thanks for the advice.

 Hydraulics

Last month I had a bad hydraulic leak that dumped about a gallon of fluid. The problem was the main supply line to the 4-way FEL selector vibrated loose, so I only had to tighten the connections within the 4-way block to fix the leak. Hope that helps.
