working on a tractor that we inherited with no service manual.
Found the dipstick at shifter that might be trans system, but where to fill and can't find the same for hydraulic.

3 point won't come up at all. certain that system needs fluid.

First off, you don't mention if the level is low on that dipstick. If it's low but still showing on the dipstick then that's not the issue.

If it's not that, there's usually a knob under the seat, between your feet as sitting on the tractor, it adjusts the speed at which the 3pth drops, if it is closed all the way, the 3pth will be frozen in place.

Finally, the transmission and differential share one large common sump which is also the reservoir for the hydraulic system.

Best of luck. ....

cj my brothers has a larger Long than your's but 99% sure you will find a large pipe plug on top of the housing near the seat.

If the design of this tractor is as his while you are at it be sure you drain the transmission and watch for WATER, if you see any would suggest you flush the system before putting in good oil. Also do not skip the filer.

There may be a knob on it as Murf mentioned but there may be a lever on the side of the transmission.

I would not run the engine with oil not touching the dip stick. kt

Either plug on top of the trans. will do for filling. I use the one closest to the shifter as it seems easy to get to for me. ....

No mention yet of a suction screen. Look for a canister in the hydraulic pump suction tube. It will have a flange on the back side with two bolts. This screen should be checked/cleaned if you're having hydraulic issues. ....

this manual probably has the information you are looking for.
Service manual for Long 360-460-510 series in pdf.
