My Kubota G1800 mower leaks diesel from the injector pump but i dont think its the o ring. it comes from the top of the pump but under an oval metal piece screwed down by a bolt with a sort of star shaped head which kubota tells me is a specialised diesel tool. my parts sheet shows no gasket there any ideas before i let the professionals loose? it leaks with the ignition on phil from oz

My comments here are pure speculation :) If there's no gasket under the oval metal piece then it was probably never designed to seal tight. That would imply that fuel under pressure is in an area where it shouldn't be, which probably means an internal leak somewhere (Diaphram, O-Ring or such inside the pump). ....

thanks for that it makes sense thogh there doesnt appear to be any other o rings etc internally phil ....
