I was ready to buy 4100 although being a little concerned about limited 3 pt attachments. After reading some past postings about 4100 not being strong enough to handle some 3pt equipment even though I probably won't put a backhoe on this unit I was concerned that not even a rear blade is listed in compatibility chart. I read where there is a little concern about stength of transmission to handle these implements. Also I have a question on live pto, with the safety feature of the engine shutting down when operator leaves the seat how do you operate a 3pt log spitter, or pto chipper shredder. I just need a few more questions answered. I am considering 4100 gear.

I thought my local JD dealer told me a front mount blower was only available for the 4100, none of the larger machines. Is this no longer true or did I hear wrong?

Serial #C-50720, according to the blue book info I have is a 1994 model. In very good condition a dealer is asking about $12,000 withn a loan value of $9300 approximately. Cannot help on implements.

I am looking for specs and prices on new massey compacts, also would like to know if belly mowers are easier on and off than my 84 1010 was before I switched to a rear mount, do the new compacts have mid pto. Are there any web sights with this information, seems to be plenty for JD and Kubota but little info an massey. How does massey compare with the others quality and price. Any input is appreciated.

I would get another opinion on the single phase operation with a three <br>phase generator. We use a three phase generator on our dairy (75 kw pto). We use it for single phase just as much as we do for three phaase, you <br>just don't use the 220V leg that gives you the three phase when you don't<br>need it.<br>

I have a 6' Massey finishing mower that is about 10 years old. It <br>was made by Taylorway of Athens TN. We have used and abused this mower<br>and never replaced anything but belts. The warranty card that came with the<br>mower was supposed to be mailed directly to Taylorway, and not to Massey<br>Ferguson. <br>

The price is reasonable if the tractor has a wide front end. <br>If it has the old narrow front end it is not worth the money as<br>well as dangerous. I would get a mechanic to check it, a major <br>problem with the engine or transmission could cost more than the<br>price of the tractor. These are great tractors, but If I am not <br>mistaken, the newest ones are 30 years old.

I'm not familiar with Belarus, but most diesels have a regular fuel pump similar to<br>the one on a gasoline engine, in addition to the injector pump. I would try replacing the <br>small pump before getting in to the injector pump.

My L3250 came with a Kubota brand battery that had a probe in one of the cells that would make the battery light come on<br>if the acid level got low.When I replaced the battery with one from the parts store there was no where to put the probe, so the<br>battery light has been on every since.

Greetings All: I am thinking of purchasing an old Oliver Crawler, Model HG42 SN#55GA902. It also have a Ware Loader, Model HGH Ser. No. 49-1146. The machine has a 4 cylinder gas Hercules engine...Everything works, although it looks mighty old and used. Loader cylinders could use rebuilding soon. Tracks appear good and tight, sprockets look pretty good. Asking price is $2250 which I think is high. What do these machines typically go for? Next question...How do you drive this? With a clutch and two steering clutches (although I have been told they are brakes), my small amount of driving has been rather rough. Do you clutch often when trying to manuver, or only when shifting and stopping? Anyone with experience with these machines, I'd love to hear from you. I went to see it expecting to find a larger machine...It is kinda cute and small. Does it push well?<br>All comments greatly appreciated. Thanks much, Bruce

When companys such as AGCO (Massey Ferguson) and Fiat (New Holland & Case-<br>International) buy tractor manufacturers, their only concern is profit. They<br>do not even have their own name on their equipment. In my opinion, John Deere<br>and Kubota have much more incentive to stand behind their reputations, and this <br>leads to satisfied customers and higher resale.
