Is there something in the tank (foriegn body) that rolls over and blocks the fuel egress? Is it more likely to happen at full throttle and/or with a low tank?

Broadcast spreader for fertilizer; I had a mini disaster with a $300 Fleet Farm spreader with bulk 17/47% nitrogen/phosphorus fertilizer. I had the two agitators going(ie the PTO on) without the little doors open enough for the fertilizer to flow out. Heat built up and fused the fertilizer in the bottom of the coned shaped bin. I had to hand broadcast 700-800 lbs of fertilizer to get to the bottom of the bin and break up the neo-geological rock formation with a sledge hammer. The lower most agitator no longer turned and cost me $50 for creative welding to disassemble and fix.I'm not sure if the high phosphorus content predisupposed the fertilizer to fuse. At any rate, don't agitate without spreading. Emptying out by hand was a 3 hr job.

Here in central WI where there is a thriving mobile/modular home industry, the axles and wheels used in transport are recycled as the running gear for trailers. I have a trailer that has a 1960ish Chevy truck front axle that takes a 15' six-hole rim. Big tires of a common size are a real advantage in a trailer both for clearance and cheap tires.

I had a water pump go out on a Bolens G214,a 21 hp deisel.Isuzu made my engine and I'd check out a cross reference. There are water pump rebuilders out there that any dealer knows about. A new H2O pump cost me $250.There was considerable disassembly of the cowling and removal of the radiadtor to get to the water pump so may as well change V-belt and radiator hoses. I'm not real sure how much different your G194 is. Mine is made by Iseki,crosses to a White Field Boss 21 that AGCO supports. Garden-Way (Troy Bilt),up-state NY insists you go through a dealer for Bolens part.There is an Iseki Yahoo site linked, I hope,below.

The vast majority of tree roots go laterally. As you get into transplanting bigger trees there are augers that are short and wide. They're cone shaped, about 2' diameter at the top and taper to a point about 2' deep. There are even bigger ones. An ideal planting hole would be an initial 6 or 9" diameter 3' hole, put some polyacrylamide in the bottom of the "pilot" hole ,then use the 2'x 2' tapere dauger described above. Polyacrylamide is a material that looks like coarse salt that absorbs 600x it's weight in water, a drought insurance. "Terra-sorb" is one brand. County reforestation progams sell it at a more reasonable price. Don't get over zealous,too much will push a tree up like a whitehead in a pimple--1 to 2 tablespoons mixed in the "pilot" hole dirt is plenty.
Something to consider is an inch and a fourth sump pump hose that is perforated buried 7 or 8 inches around the perimeter of the root for easy and effecient watering .I use a plastic bag to "cork" the hose.This also brings air to the roots.This is especially handy if you have to carry water to the tree.Cut a 3 or 4 foot square section of pressed polyester landscape fabric over the returned dirt and cover with mulch. Avoid fertilizer except for fishmeal or small time released tablets.Many trees,newly transplanted,are killed by too much soluoble nitrogen.

Could be a broken axle; put it in gear and engage the 4 wheel drive. With the motor off,jack up one wheel at a time,if one turns that side is broke, if they both turn your're broke in the central part of the differential or, as Murf states, it's not all there.

John,I've got weights all over a Pittsburgh-Taylor 5 footer disc. Also angling the banks of the discs so that the curved leading edge of the disc blade is parallel to the line of travel makes a disc more aggressive. At some point,however,hard ground and vegetation will defeat a disc. This is where a "pushing down" 3 point would really help.

Nuclear_ weapon 7, I'm not sure I understand your question; I tend to lose the pins and snap rings before they are installed in the appropiate top link or in the lower 3 point lift arms as I'm trying to get lined up. Sometimes I'm repositioning the tractor, I'm off the tractor raising, lowering or adjusting the 2 lower lift arms, or levering the implement to get holes to line up. Sometimes I may be persuading alignment with a hammer and need a pin close by. Devices such as 'Freedom Hitch" sound great but you still got get the PTO connected.

I've a 1910 FORD that has a plastic housing around the headlights on the front curve of the rear fender. For a cup-holder drill 4 or 5 holes about 1/4" through the top of the housing and epoxy glue PVC pipe fashioned cup-holder 3 or 4" in diameter with a cap end as a base that also has some shallow holes or grooves for the glue to hold on to. Drill some hole laterally at the bottom to let the rain out. As Kim Hartshorn says it will hold WD 40, keys etc.It's great for gloves.

Miquel,I own a Bolens G214 which is a 4 wheel drive,22 horse,3cylinder deisel that is made by Iseki in 1986.It's identical to the same vintage White Field Boss 21 which is supported,parts-wise, by AGCO. I wonder if the G212 is the 2 wheel drive version. Garden-Way (Troy Built) brought out Bolens several years ago and also supports it, at least 4 years ago. Garden Way insists you go through thier dealers for parts and generally was a pain in the butt to deal with. Four years ago a water pump was $235 new.
The motor is made by Izusu and is the easiest starting smoothest running deisel small motor I've ever owned. The G214 is a gear transmission,with a creeper range that gives me 4 reverses and 12 forward speeds. It's equipted with an american heavy- duty loader with a rounded back on the bucket that make it a great grader with backing up.It has a back hoe,canadian made, with heavy undercarriage rails that is a honey. It runs off a PTO hyraulic pump. In 1989 I brought it for $8400 with an underbelly mower,3 point hitch gear and a factory kit for a front live electric PTO that I never installed since I leave the loader on. It only had 275 hours on it when I brought it; now it has 1200 hrs.I wish it had power steering-the next size up did. If the G212 is the 2 wheel version without a loader it would be less critical
I'd sell the front PTO kit and I think the mid-mount is available and never used (I traded it on a rear horizontal mower and the dealer was going to try to modify it as a front mounted mower but never got around to it)

All things considered this has been a great tractor for me and I'm impressed with Iseki.

About 30 yrs. ago the initial foray into 4 wheel-drive farm tractors was with"front wheel hydraulic assist".When the going got tough, say with a plow, the front-wheel assist would peter out as you would try to raise the plow to lighten the load. Of course this was exactly when you needed all 4 wheels working for you the most. Mechanical front wheel drive (MFWD) was introduced to get around that short coming. I would be interested if there were also longevity/reliability issue.

An important consideration on any long term earth- moving project is what happens if it rains like hell or for an extended time. I watched a neighbor get bogged down trying to build a pond with small equipment. It seemed that the good wheather coincided with his day job!

Cutting the PTO the right length is important.If it's too long you can snap off the PTO shaft when the implement is fully raised (the PTO is fully telescoped in,and if too long,is trying to 'lever' the the tractor's PTO off) If too short,the sliding part separates if the implement falls into a depression and the end hooked to the tractor is spinning and flopping around back there. Fortunately,I've done the latter but not the first one by cutting an unequal amount off and not measuring carefully.It makes a helluva racket and can tear-up the shield and other 3 point parts. Snapping off a PTO shaft is BIG bucks.

I've buried water lines with a subsoiller or middle buster by taking 1-1/2 plastic electrical conduit stick it on the tractors exhaust to heat it up and curve it gently. Then ,using worm gear clamps, clamp it to the back of the subsoiler and then feed the plastic pipe through it as you go. I suppose the same would work for wire,being more supple than plastic water pipe.If you do this with wire inside of plastic pipe the curved conduit has to bigger than you think. I too,however, have reservations about shallow AC lines

To make meaningful comparisions between countries take money out of the equation ; i.e.,how many hours do you have to work to buy the same thing. I'd be interested in that figure re an equivalent Massey Ferguson,as well as a house,lb of butter,pair of shoes etc in Pakistan compared to USA.

Tom is right, the "Boomers" are basiclly Shibaura motors and running gear just like the Ford/New Holland 1200 through 2100's since 1980's. NH had a TC35D at the National Farm Machinary Show in Louisville that ends today.They are launching 3 more higher horsepower series;35,40 and 45 alias TC35,TC40 and TC45. The TC35D,TC40D andTC45D are the hydrostatic versions(the'D' doesn't stand for deisel).The 35 hp. is 3 cyl., the 40 and 45 4 cylinder.These new Boomers are evolved 1920 and 2120's. These tractors all had independent power steering pumps."Supersteer" is an optional 4 mfwd axle that cuts the turning radius by turning the axle as well as turning the wheels.
At the show JD did not have the the new front wheel drive axles on the displayed 4200.
