I have a TC25D with turf tires and loader. When using the loader for heavier loads (700-800lbs) the front tires really squat and almost seem flat. The front tires are at 22psi which is the maximum rating given in the owners manual, how much more can I comfortably raise the pressure?

I've got a similar situation, I ended up buying a no-name post-hole digger and 12" auger from Fleet Farm for around $400. All of the rental places wanted at least $100/day for one. I've used it for planting 30+ trees all with 36" root balls and putting in fence posts, seems to be heavy duty enough, had no problem burying it to the gearbox.

Need some advice. I have 3 acres of open land which is full of dead weeds that I want to tear up in preparation for a new lawn. Which implement is going to work best in tearing up the soil/weeds? Is a 3pt rototiller going to take forever to clear the whole area?

Mike--I talked to my dealer today and he knew nothing about a 50 hour fluid change. He wanted to know where I was getting my information because he thought it was incorrect. All I know is Im having some kind of problem with my 3pt hydraulics.

Hey guys my tractor only has 31 hours on it. I think I will let the dealer do the work. Maybe if Im lucky I can get a free hydraulic fluid change out of the deal. Thanks for everyones input on this problem. Chris

Bob I purchased a JD 4200 HST 4wd, turf tires,mid PTO for 14000.00 I also got the 420 loader for 2400.00 and a JD 272 72" rear mower for 2100.00 for a total of 18500.00

Im willing to bet that John Deere makes one set of hoses to fit all their compact series tractors from 4200 to 4600, 700's to 900's and we just happen to have the smaller tractors. My dealer told me there should be a big arc at the top where the hose begins but I cant get it to stay that way.

I paid $12,900 for the TC25D in December and $3100 for the loader with heavy duty bucket. The dealer said the TC29D was another $400-$500 but I wouldn't notice the difference. Haven't priced mowers yet.

Mark, What does your tractor idle at? My 4200 idles between 1000 & 1100 and I was told this is a normal idle speed. If 1250 is a midrange perhaps your idle is set to low.

I am trying to seed rye on 3 acres and it all wants to wash to the low spots every time it rains. I am just broadcasting it with a spreader. Does anyone have any ideas.

I have to agree with Brook. The 3 cylinder JD4200 ran as smooth if not smoother than the 4 cylinder kubota 2710 when I test drove them. Im sure there is a difference but at 2000 to 2600 rpm I couldnt tell it.

I was running my TC25D recently in below zero temps and the HST was squealing a little bit when pressing the pedal all the way down. I let tractor warm-up for quite a while before operating, is there a temperature rating on the HST fluid?

I just purchased a 4200 4x4 HST with turfs, a 420 loader and a 272 rear finish mower. I have 4 flat acres and was told it would pull any of this equipment without a problem. Tractor will be delivered tomorrow (Friday) where we will begin the real test. The 4300 was a little larger in size and weight but the price was about $1700.00 more. You do gain an extra 5.5 pto horsepower with only a 225 pound weight increase that should make for a more powerful unit overall. the only problem with the 4300 is it wont fit in my garage. Price for the 4200 equipped above was $18300.00

Dont know what part of the country your in but around the houston area dealers
have plenty of 4200's,4300's,4400's. I was given a price today on a 4200 4x4
hst turf tires and dual srv for loader of $13900.00. also a 420 loader for $2500.00. Does this sound fair? p.s. Gave up on blue, test drove one and had a funny smell that the others didnt seem to have. No smoke though.
