I have a 914A mower in very nice shape with brackets. I just bought a 96 1320 Ford. Not sure it will work. Tractor data specifies 914 mower. Any help ?

I bought one of these from ChimneyHeaters.com . I installed and it works fine. Heats my 2000 square foot house. I have the pump connected to a UPS but I am not sure how long the pump will run if the electric goes out. I had it installed all winter and did not have to turn on my Electric heat once which saved me about 200 euro a month here in Romania.

The Electric is not stable here so I had to rush to take out the fire a couple of times because the water pump had stopped and the pressure valves were going off. The UPS will solve that but I dont know how long a UPS will keep my central pump going. I will attach a pic of what chimney heaters are in case you are not familiar with them. The pump is a Grundfos and has three speeds.

Thanks Murf. I will be buyig the loader with SS QA, for the ease of hook up.

Would keeping the blade closer to the loader be a better idea??

I understand you can switch the back and maybe front tires to get more wheel base...as yes weight will help but is it worth putting calium in the tires...how much weight will be gained for a tractor that size??

The wires going to the pto switch on my 4200 are on the left side in the front of the axle and mine were caught on brush and broken. I jumpered them out and have not had any problems since. I hope you already have it running by now.

I am sure there are some of you out there that can tell me where the pto switch is located on the 4200. I had to jumper the seat switch out to keep it running when off the seat even with the pto disengaged.

I have a 1999 4200 collar shift also and it has had the same problem since I first bought it. The gears are not sychronized and do have the tendacy to grind, especially if the tractor is moving. Having a wet clutch keeps the shaft turning longer and I have to wait longer befor changing gears. It does not grind as bad after getting hot, I guess the fluid has less viscosity then. I have had this tractor for 4 years and have had good service from it other than having to clean hyd screens and chang fluid and filters.

It has the manual shuttle shift. Alot of people are telling me to just keep the screens clean and I shouldn't have any problems with the cab air. I was at the New Holland dealer and he told me of two he took in on trade because the air would not work right.Both were low hour machines. I did a warranty check and apparently the tractor I'm looking at had some clutch problems back when it was almost new.

It sounds like your dealer just ripped you off. I just changed the hy-guard oil and filter and also cleaned the strainer in less than 1 and a half hours when my lift started lifting slow. I dont know what they did for 8.5 hours. Adjusting the clutch linkage takes only a few minutes. My total bill for 7 gallons of hy-guard and filter was only about $95.

Also when you are loader shopping , have a look at ALO/Quicke loaders, they are one of the best out there Period. Also, Buhler/Allied are a good brand too!!
