I've had the 2210 for a few months and it has done everything I need and more. I have a 48 inch JD LX4 cutter and it handles it fine, plenty of power. You need the loader or front weights for the brush hog. I think the power of this little tractor may surprise you, why not try the 5 foot hog as long as you have it, as long as it is not too heavy for the 3 point to lift. It may work fine if you are not in real heavy brush or grass. I rented a 50 inch tiller and the rental place laughed when I told him what I was gonna use it on, he said they put it on a 40 horse tractor. Well it worked great and I tilled about an acre with no problem, power didn't seem to be an issue. My 4 foot cutter doesn't seem to load the engine much at all, but I haven't been in real thick stuff yet either,

I'm also very pleased with the 2210, seems like just the perfect size for around the house. My dealer had both the BX and 2210 when I put em both side by side and played with both the 2210 just seemed like a bit more tractor. The price was 12400 with FEL and 62 MMM which was within 50 bucks of the BX. So far,, no regets on the Deere, only got about 9 hours on it.

i would certainly ask him about it. I got mine a week ago and got the 400 for a mower and loader. I think there are details on the JD website under special offers

I've only had my 2210 for a week so take my two cents for what it is worth. I've been moving a pile of dirt and the loader has impressed me in that it has no problem picking up a full bucket of dirt, tractor seems to have plenty of power. I would say you will not have a problem tearing up the sod but if the clay is hard it maybe slow going, just not enough weight on the front to force the bucket down into hard ground. You really need some ballast on the back with the loader, maybe a good box blade for ballast would loosen up the clay first. I'm still waiting for my box blade to see how that works.
