My dad was an agri engineer and didn't like hydo's, due to added initial cost and operating cost. He was referring to bigger farm tractors that need the steady ground speed that a gear trans offers. I always buy 5 speed cars and his comments made me initially look to gear trans, until I drove the hydro. For my use which involves alot of back and forth changes, it is a god send. I operate it on steep hills in the Ozarks with no problem, HOWEVER, be sure to get 4WD and keep it locked in on steep hills to reduce excitement! The only disadvantage to a hydro I see on a hill is if you have to park it, the brake is all there is to hold the tractor as the trans does not lock up like a gear drive.

I have owned a TC33D with SS, R-4's FEL, box blade, rear finish mower for 2 years and have 350 hrs on it. We have used it for various jobs during road, utility, home, shop construction, grading, rock wall building, and minor land clearing. I had a chain hook welded on the top of the bucket and always have a length of chain on the tractor-I am amazed at what this machine can do as you become comfortable with it. I have discovered that with the box blade adjusted properly, this tractor will tip out up to 6" trees.

I have heavily forested, hilly land, and find the SS is very valuable navigating in tight spaces-I have never taken the FEL off as it is like a third hand.

Having this tractor has just about retired my Grasshopper as it has better traction and with the rear mount, I can back up to most inaccessable areas and finish up with a weed eater.

I am truly impressed and highly recommend.

I had a neighbor who used to drag steel or iron parts on a chain behind his truck down our gravel road. Seemed to work well, but I watch for traffic!!<br>BR

Have owned equipment for many years and never considered insurance, but have never had a loss. Is there becoming a quid pro quo with financing and insurance like homes, cars, etc? Think about it-large successful companies

What a revelation!!! I always taught that it took<br>2 people to hook up a 3 point, and I never got to drive the tractor!<br>I'm smarter now.<br>I get as close as I can and connect one of the lower arms. Then pull ahead or back<br>align the second. The upper link can then be aligned with liftin or lowering the<br>arms.<br>
