As a person owning 3 Kubota's tractors I would like to make some suggestions for improving the BX line of tractors. I may be looking to purchase another one in a few years so hopefully the Kubota dealers can pass my suggestions on the the company.<br>

1. Head Lights - Need to make improvements. Lights are useless when you have a FEL. Since I do not know many people that mow their lawns at night, I would suggest that the lights be builted into the roll bar above the drivers head. I know there are light kits that people have installed, but why not install them at the factory.<br>
2. Brake Light on dash - I cannot tell you the number of times I have jumped on my tractor and forgot to release the brake. A simple red light on the dash that would light up when the brake was engaged would be be a tremendous improvement.<br>
3. Grill Cover taller - The BX has a nice heavy duty steel grill cover but does not come up high enough to cover the front lights and front of the hood. If you use the FEL alot, sooner or later a rock or piece of wood will fall off the back and either smash your head lights or put a nice dent in the hood. An extra 10" of grill would be worth considering.<br>

Other that my three suggestions I have no complaints with the BX tractor. Just thought I would throw my suggestions out and see if one of the Kubota dealers on this site could pass it on to a Kubota Sales Rep.

Thanks for all your imput! It has been 0 to -2 here in Connecticut the past few nights. I tried the hair dryer on the fuel filter for approx: ten minutes and it did work. The tractor started right up. Last weekend I spend 3 hours trying to get it started. I did put in some Power Service fuel treatment so hopefully it should help also.
Nice little tractor... but no good to anyone if it does not start after it snow 15 inches.

The exact same pin broke on my BX1800 three days ago. Luckly I found the pivet bracket before I buried it in the ground. I brought the tractor back to the dealer since I need to have some work done on it anyways. They could not explain why the pin was engineered into the unit but said they had come across the problem before.

Nothing in particular... just thinking it might make sense to have a professional mechanic look it over to make sure nothing needs to be repaired/replaced. I guess I am looking for "piece of mind". Since I have only really had to replace the oil, I am not sure if any other major things should be done at this time.

I have a BX1800 and the power steering started having problems at about 50 hours. It was getting so bad that when I drove it on the road the tractor was swaying back and forth. I finally just lost the power steering all togehter and had to bring it into the dealer. They have to change the whole power steering system. Luckly, it was still under warrenty by 1 week.

For your info... I went to 3 Kubota dealers yesterday here in Connecticut to discuss pricing on the BX2300. I got the following prices: $15,500, $16,000 and $16,200. This was the base price quoted. I am sure that if I told them I was ready to purchase, I might be able to get a better price.

Thanks for your help. I have call 10 Kubota dealers this morning and not one can give me the slightest clue on what is causing the power steering to not work. As for the warrenty, they can not even tell me if the tractor would be covered for this type of repair. Tractor was purchased 18 months ago.

I just went out and purchased one of those auto blinking lights and plan on installing it on my BX this weekend. The only problem, I think, is that the Bx has no brake light on the dash currently. Where would I hook up the light to if there are no wires running to the brakes. Any help would be most appriciated.
