Looks weak to me.The best on the market is gannon.Been using it on all my grading tractors since the 70s and have never had a problem.If you have a problem parts arec readally available.

i was at the local nh dealer yesterday talking trade for a tc45.he told me the 48 and 55 would be out in october.we didn't discuss price but he did say that the 55 was about $1000.00 more than the 48.it was also said that the hydro trans won't be available in these tractors.i go to the ozark farm fest in springfeild mo. the first weekend of october.might see one there.good luck.

all the controls on the left are clustered on one shaft.remove the nut,pull all off and coat shaft with heavy grease.i even used a small reamer and worked a small amount of the plastic bushing on the linkages out.works great now.good luck.

i have one that's used to hold tools.it's about 15 inches long.we put it in a gunny sack and pull it around to pickup nails and screws.the material sticks to the bag instead of the magnet.put the bag over bucket,pull out the magnet and all falls off the bag.good luck

it sounds like the ratchet and the rack on the pedel might be out of alingment.when you step off you put pressure on one side and it slips off.look under the floor board to see if everthing is square.good luck

i bought a 28 last year.i use it to mow smaller fields and my yard.i got to say IT'S A KEEPER.the kubota dealer says the new deck is for the commercial mowers.the stamp deck does an excellent job but the welded deck will take more abuse.you know like bouncing off trees,houses,key stone walls,ect, ect.you get my drift.we,ve alway had front runners in the past.the only thing i miss is the 4wd.good luck

i had one break on my 1530 last year.i went ahead and replace both sides.that piece of hose isn't what you would call high pressure.it's just corded line rather than wire wrapped.the sharp fabracated bend does make for a weak spot but a stiffer hose would put a lot of pressure on the cooler lines.just remember to doulble clamp both sides.good luck

ford stopped building the 1210 in 1985.it had a electric pto on the radiator end of the crank shaft.i had one for 8 years and 2200 hundred hours.only thing i ever replaced was one fuel injecture.fine machine(compared to the kubota i traded it for)other than it didn't have power steering.the 1220 was the machine that replaced it.good luck

i had one in the 80's.put around 2000 hours on it before the trade to the kubota.should have kept the 1201.anyway,that tractor always had a heat problem.open the hood and let it warm up.if it still belches there could be an interal problem.the reason they get hot is because on air flow.i can't touch on the u joint problem.chan the fuel and fuel filter and fuel to see if that helps the smoke.i got a 1530 and a new zd 28.the both smoke a bit under a load.i used to run phillips 66 diesel and switched to amoco on account of the smoking problem.that tractor always rattled at low rpm.i remember the long throttle lever shakin'like it was gonna fall off.when you would open it up she'd smooth out.the mower (if it's a ford)runs off the front of the engine.it has an electric pto.there should be a big toggle switch under the steering wheel.good luck.

a tractor isn't like a car.just find a dealer and buy one.i had a 1550 in the mid 90s.i just bought a zd 28 zero turn.uses the same key.good luck
