Probably still too much work taking everything off around the rear of the engine to remove the driveshaft at that point of connection.

I have since learned of someone who disassembled the rear universal joint on a 2210 to provide the clearance necessary to pull the splined end of the driveshaft out of the transmission and replace the fan.

Supposedly took just a half hour to do using this approach.

My purchase last fall was about $1000 less but without the rotary cutter. Other differences with your package include the 62 inch MMM and possibly the 53 inch FEL bucket included on my order.

Following the directions in the MMM manual I adjusted the lift rod on the left side of the tractor until the knob would rotate the fill 360 degrees. After that I had to adjust the yokes on the lift arms to come up with the 2mm clearance between each lift arm and the machine frame stud.<br>

It looks like this is something our respective dealers missed when they installed set up our mower decks.

I paid $12,200 as well for my 2210, 210 FEL with 53" bucket, and the 62 " MMM. I ordered mine with bar tires instead of turf tires.

This was the exact sqame price as another dealer I checked with before buying mine at the closer of the two dealers

When I was shopping I compared the John Deere 2210 to the Kubota BX2200. One of the deciding factors for me in buying the John Deere at $200 more than the Kubota was the operator presence detect feature that John Deere had but the Kubota lacked. With my son and wife handling some of the mowing duty I felt strongly about having this safety feature that will kill the engine if they were to leave the seat with the PTO engaged and the mower blades still rotating.

When I purchased my 2210 last November I paid $12,200 which included the 210 FEL with the 53" bucket, dual selective control valve, and 62" MMM.

At the time JD was offering a cash incentive and a discount on first and second implements which could affect comparisons to current prices.

I recently ordered a Midwest rear blade RB22-60 from a tractor dealer in Kentucky. The price was $325 but I've seen some dealers asking $295.

This blade costs a bit more than a standard blade that only angles to the left or right. This blade incorporates pull pin adjustment for tilt, offset, and index. No need to get out a wrench to make tilt and offset changes like so many other blades that provide for tilt and offset.

I should have it in a week or two. It even comes in green to better match my 2210!
