I have a 1985 JD650 with a 4 foot rotary cutter. This thing cuts like the dickens. This is the strongest 14hp you will ever use. I have not been disappointed with mine in any respect. The size is very manuerverable too. Mine is a 4x4 and when engaged has the potential to get you in a lot of trouble(it will pull itself right over the irrigation ditch if I let it!). I added the ROPs to mine when I bought it and would recommend you do the same if it doesn't come with one.

You can get 99.9% of the parts for your 650 through your JD dealer. I have ordered even the stickers that go on the fenders of the 650 with no problem.

I am not a tractor expert by any stretch of the imagination nor am I a mechanical guru but I plan to do my own servicing up until I hit the 200 hour interval. Up until this point things are pretty straight forward, you should easily be able to accomplish them, it is a good way to get to know your tractor too. The service points on our 4310's are very user friendly and explained well enough in the manual. I understand the apprehension, you'll do fine by doing it yourself. As far as the warranty goes I don't think this would be a problem. Save your receipts from your oil and filter purchases as a "proof" but I have never had any problems with John Deere standing behind there products. Since they are going to have to do the tilt steering service I would see if you could get a deal on the service when they fix the tilt... Matt

I agree with the above posting. I do think this holds true for any tractor, you have to ALWAYS size your implements for the intended machine. Given this rule you shouldn't be disappointed.

I just happen to have a regular blade I no longer have a use for. It is in good shape and unique in that it is infinitely adjustable (360 degrees, blade pitch, offset). I can send you a digital photo to an email address. I live in Loveland CO but work in Denver. This may work out for the both of us! Matt

Reddog, I looked at the Kioti web sites and the dk65 looks really good! Are you getting the fancy cab too? Man the price is unbeatable on these machines. I am wondering if they are good also. You should be covered with the 5 year warranty. Please keep us posted on your tractor.

This sounds like an impressive bucket edge. I am planning on getting one in the near future. Do a search on Rezloh and you will find several sites with testimonials. If you do get one of these please make a post and let us all know what you think. I will do the same
